Coming up with an online username is a painful process. Ideally, the name should be easy to remember and distinctive—and, in many cases, unique! But with the internet having developed over so many years, far too many usernames have already been taken. After thinking about it for a long time, I realized that combining English with a less common language—like Japanese—might make it easier. “Planet + いきる”—planet ikiru, meaning “living on a planet”—and just like that, the name was born. What an ordinary name! I thought. With a slight tweak—Planet I Kiru, or Planet I きる—it could mean “I cut through the planet” or “I carve out the planet.” It sounds a bit nonsensical, but either way, it’s definitely more unique :). In fact, by this point, the name had already come to carry a deeper meaning. But I won’t go into that here.

After all, this website is simply a place for me to share some common yet valuable things. I hope those who visit this site will find something worth their time.
